Australian TV soap Neighbors is set to stop appearing on British television after 36 years.
Neighbours reportedly has an ax after 36 years on UK television screens.
The end of the heart that cracks Neighbors comes after Channel 5 announced that it would no longer broadcast the program. The UK station has been heavily funded Neighbours from 2008, which means that the series will end its record in August, unless it is picked up by another broadcaster. reported NME News.
What seems to be a simple guess has now been confirmed to be true after Channel 5 confirmed that the show will no longer be shown on the station “beyond this summer”. The Australian broadcaster Network Ten maintains its desire to save the show, but that it would need a new supporter to continue.

I have watched Neighbours for all my life. It brought me joy, escape and comfort when I needed it. He introduced me to many amazing people who care so deeply about the show. It’s more than just a TV show for me and many others, it’s a community.

It is now apparently very likely that Channel 5 did not allow the cast or crew to be told first before announcing the news themselves, which is something for a network that is so heavily involved in production. #Neighbours pic.twitter.com/QWBzXAhgnl

I woke up hoping that #Neighbours the news was just a bad dream. The show defined a generation, produced many iconic television moments and gave birth to some of the world’s biggest stars. It also led to television production amid the pandemic. It is worth continuing. #SaveNeighbours

I’m still struggling to figure out why #Neighbours It has fallen. An institution for generations of Britons that has influenced everything from what we wear to how we speak. It’s comfort food but it also does the hard stuff so well. We hope a TV executive makes sense of this #SaveNeighbours

@neighbours changed the Australian television landscape. He started many careers for decades, including mine. Dedicated and entertaining audience for generations. We hope to find a new home with another UK broadcaster and continue to provide opportunities and entertainment

Hearing the news that #Neighbours is about to disappear from UK television screens made me remember about 25 years ago. Did Marlene ever return from her cruise? He went on a cruise and the character never returned.
As the news continues to sink and we wait for news about who will save the show (Crossed fingersCrossed fingersCrossed fingers), let’s celebrate our favorite Australian fighter. It’s hard to imagine a TV landscape without #Neighbours giving us those crazy moments we all love!
Disgraceful Channel 5 – no one gives monkeys for your British program, it’s crazy. So gloomy TV these days and you cancel 22 minutes of sunshine every day. Bellens.
If #Neighbours is indeed canceled, Australia would lose a significant dramatic output that produces some of our best actors going abroad and becoming top actors like Guy Pearce and Margo Robbie. This is why you have to #SaveNeighbours Australia’s drama would be poorer without it.
I’m really not interested in reading “#Neighbours should have been ruined a long time ago, it sucks” Tweets right now when hundreds of talented people are out of work… including many of my friends. If you must have them, keep these thoughts to yourself.
The cast and crew deserve a lot more respect than that.
Be a world leader in television production during and after Covid. Reject without warning. The whole TV world owes the #Neighbours a debt and I’m so angry on their behalf
