Sorsogon tricycle drivers already complain about high fuel prices

SORSOGON CITY – Tricycle drivers and operators in the town of Sorsogon are calling for help and subsidies after reaching 90 pesos per liter of petrol.
In an interview with Brigada News FM Sorsogon, Manuel Detera, President of the Federation of Connected Tricycle Drivers (FASTOD), said they had no one to turn to but the local government.
According to him, they know that the government does not control the world market, therefore, with the help or assistance of LGU, they hope to somehow alleviate their livelihood.
He added that although there has been previous assistance allegedly provided by LGU, it is really missing when it is calculated.
Detera fears that when the price of petroleum products reaches one hundred pesos, it could cause chronic abuse of passengers and stop the movement of many drivers. ###
